Please keep this going! It is a joy to visit your site and see the beautifully filtered list of properties for sale and books published. The Country Life listings seem to be featuring more and more new build McMansions. It also gives me a “heads up” in my search for DVDs related to the topics you cover. BRAVO!

Thanks, Jeff, I’m certainly keeping the blog going, but its progress will ebb and flow depending on my available spare time and other behind-the-scenes research. I’m trying to establish more effective ways to search for information; for example Savills website should soon be adding further functionality regarding newly listed houses. As for the McMansions, their larger presence in Country Life is simply a reflection of how many are being built, especially in the areas near London, and their higher prices, often over £10m, causing them to feature more prominently than larger listed houses selling for £2m to £8m further away from major cities and requiring more costly ongoing maintenance.
